Richard Wilson is Founder and CEO of Inclusion [Social Ratings] Ltd., and is a specialist in social performance and corporate responsibility ratings. His activities in these areas include advisory, methodology development and training services. He has developed ratings and assessment methodologies for a number of local, regional and international rating agencies in the areas of microfinance, banking, corporate, project finance, and corporate governance. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Global Credit Rating Co. of South Africa, acting as Independent Non-Executive Director. Richard has developed and conducted training in corporate governance at board level for various international institutions, as well as corporate governance training for senior management at the Islamic Development Bank. He has been a Senior Training Consultant for Moody’s Analytics, where he delivered a wide range of financial training courses, including Train the Trainer (ToT) sessions for other senior trainers at that institution. His previous experience includes Head of Ratings Advisory at Societe Generale’s Investment Banking unit (SGIB) where he established that bank’s first ratings advisory group. Prior to SGIB, Richard held the title of Regional Director at Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Co. (DCR), where he was responsible for all of that agency’s rating activities in Central Europe, Middle East and Africa. Richard holds a Masters in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (AGSIM) and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Economics from the University of Texas-Austin. He is also fluent in Spanish, with a working knowledge of Portuguese and French.
Gilles Da Costa brings to Inclusion [Social Ratings] his extensive experience in microfinance advisory and capacity-building. A national of Benin, he has worked throughout Western Africa over the last 12 years advising MFIs on strategic development and operational planning, training, and social performance management & assessment. Gilles holds a Master’s degree in Management of Economic Policy, (a Joint-Program of Cocody University in Abidjan, in partnership with the World Bank and the African Capacity Building Foundation), as well as a Master’s in Management and Technical Banking. Gilles previously held the position of Chief of Operations & Programs, as well as Coordinator of Social Performance Management and Financial Education at the Benin Professional Microfinance Network (Consortium Alafia), where he coordinated the establishment of an MFI rating mechanism as part of the “Competition for Exellence” among microfinance institutions in Benin. He is also a Certified Lead Assessor on Client Protection Principles (SMART Campaign).
Moustapha Gueye has extensive experience in microenterprise development in West Africa, as well as having entrepreneurial experience in Western Europe. He has worked and acted as an advisor in a diverse range of industries from construction to the import-export of automotive equipment and crafts for micro-enterprises in Francophone Africa, where he advised on business plan development, sustainability and job creation. His greatest strength is bringing to microfinance assessment his in-depth and practical experience in the development and assessment of entrepreneurial projects in West Africa. Moustapha has earned a Diplome Universitaire de Technologie in Chemical Engineering from the Ecole Superieure Polytechnique (ESP) - DAKAR (Senegal). He has also taken courses on Labor & Occupational Risk, and is currently studying for a post-graduate degree in telecommunications from the Open University of Catalunya (UOC). He holds both Senegalese and Spanish nationalities and speaks fluent French, Wolof, Spanish, English and Catalan.
Nicolas Wilson has an international background in Social Development and Human Rights. His previous work experience includes Project Management and Grant Development at NGOs such as Goodwill Industries, and the London-based non-profit, ADVOCATES FOR HUMAN DIGNITY, which addresses human rights concerns and global health initiatives, with particular focus on East Africa. His most recent assignment was directing the human services accreditation and compliance process for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut. Nicolas speaks Spanish and English, and holds a M.A. in Human Rights from the City University of London.
Daniela Israel-Wilson directs Inclusion [Africa]’s Communication Department and is responsible for the development of all external marketing materials, communications and internet delivery design. Daniela studied Graphic Design at the Miami Ad School and has worked as a designer for Worksong and Steven Taylor & Associates in the UK, as well as Tangent Design in Chicago, where she developed and directed corporate identity & brand campaigns, website design, corporate communication, electronic media and environmental graphics for such clients as the National Family & Parenting Institute, WaterAid UK, British Wheel of Yoga, Fine Art Trade Guild, Sotogrande Properties, Treetops Capital, RatingsAxess and various city council governments in the UK and Spain. She speaks English, Spanish, Catalan and French, in addition to her native German.
Ana de Miguel is an experienced international development professional with over ten years experience working across the globe for the United Nations Development Programme in the areas of local governance, economic development and disaster risk reduction and early recovery. Ana was based in Cambodia from 2014 until late 2015, where she implemented new and innovative ways of addressing development challenges, collaborating with and providing technical support to different social businesses and organizations and helping them conceptualize their business ideas from a development perspective in order to improve their social impact. She joined Inclusion [Social Rating] in 2015 as a Technical Advisor & Asia Representative, initiating and leading the firm’s activities within the Cambodia/Asian region. As of the beginning of 2016, Ana has relocated back to Spain where she is leading I[SR]'s assessment and rating activities in Europe. She has a Masters Degree in International Development and European Integration and more recently acquired qualifications in human centered design thinking and social entrepreneurship. Ana speaks Spanish and English fluently and is proficient in French. She has extensive fieldwork experience across Latin America, Europe and Asia.
